Brit Appoints Wayne Page as Head of Inclusion and Diversity

Brit Ltd is pleased to announce the appointment of Wayne Page as Head of Inclusion and Diversity (“I&D”).

Wayne will report to Shane Kingston, Chief Risk Officer and Chief Actuary and Brit’s I&D sponsor.

Working closely with the I&D Committee, Wayne will act as the custodian of Brit’s I&D strategic vision, ensuring that the Group progresses against its I&D objectives. He will work to deliver expert advice and guidance across the Group on I&D matters, alongside developing and implementing strategic policies, practices and action plans.

Wayne has a strong background in diversity, inclusion, wellbeing and belonging, having worked for the past five years in a range of roles to develop and implement diversity and inclusion strategies. Wayne has also undertaken various charitable positions including an I&D adviser role at Business In The Community. He was previously with Metropolitan Thames Valley Housing where he worked to provide I&D strategy advice and delivery. In addition, Wayne will bring his knowledge of the financial services sector to the role, having worked for eight years for the FCA as a Regulatory Supervisor prior to his I&D work, overseeing regulation for a number of large insurance firms.

Matthew Wilson, Group CEO, said: “At Brit, inclusion, diversity and equality are very real business priorities and it is important to us that they are deeply embedded in all aspects of our business and culture. This is not just because it is the right thing to do, but because we believe it encourages more innovative thinking and results in better business outcomes. We are committed to creating an environment where everyone understands and celebrates the difference that diversity brings to an organisation and that allows all our people to reach their full potential. I am delighted to be welcoming Wayne into this key role as Head of I&D to help take our work in this area to the next level.”
