Tom has led the Healthcare Liability portfolio at Brit Global Specialty in London since early 2019, having joined the firm as an underwriter in 2015.  He is responsible for the underwriting management of Brit’s healthcare account in both the US and Internationally.

Tom began his insurance career at CNA Europe in the HealthPro division, where he primarily focused on underwriting medical liability in the UK and France on a primary basis.  More recently he has worked at Barbican Insurance Group underwriting on behalf of syndicate 1955 at Lloyd’s, where he was primarily responsible for US and UK medical liability on both a primary and excess basis. Prior to this he served in the British Army for four years as an infantry officer in the Royal Regiment of Scotland.

Tom is ACII qualified and holds a BA (Hons) in Politics, Philosophy and Economics from Durham University
