Janet is the Group Executive Underwriter across the Brit Insurance Group, responsible for overseeing Underwriting Performance and Governance for all lines of business.

Her background is in long tail liability and, previously at Brit, she was the Portfolio Director of Long Tail Insurance. In this role she managed global professional liability, cyber liability, medical malpractice, general liability, financial institutions and directors and officer’s liability. She has underwritten professional liability in the Lloyd’s market for 30 years, during which time she underwrote for RA Edwards Syndicate 219 and St Paul Syndicate 1411, before joining Brit in 2003.

Janet is an actuarial graduate, an associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute and a member of the Professional Liability Underwriting Society.
