James has over 30 years North American Property Treaty experience in both the Lloyd’s and Bermuda markets. He began his career in 1990 at CT Bowring Reinsurance Ltd. as a North American Treaty broker. He began his underwriting career when he joined Venton Syndicate 376 in January 1994. Since then, James has held various senior underwriting and management roles, including almost six years in Bermuda, underwriting and managing the North American Property Treaty account for Max Re Ltd. He returned to the Lloyd’s market in July 2011 and he joined Brit Global Specialty in February 2015. James is ACII qualified and has a BA (Hons) degree in Latin from Bristol University.
