Types of operations roles available?

Our operations department has a variety of teams ranging from deeply technical roles to broader overarching roles, each one as valuable as the other. Here are some examples of the different types of operations roles we’ve available and their responsibilities:

 

Underwriting operations team roles:

  • Underwriting assistants – which is the first step towards becoming an underwriter.
  • Analytical roles – look at understanding operational performance.
  • Delegated underwriting analyst and technician roles – maintaining controls over global distribution of insurance products through coverholder
  • Credit control roles – are responsible for working with broking partners to make sure we’re receiving premiums for the policies we’ve written

 

Procurement Team roles:

  • Procurement Managers - negotiating a wide range of contracts (from IT to Facilities to Professional Services) ensuring the best prices and terms for Brit

 

Business Transformation and Improvements Team Roles:


  • Business transformation roles – work with the wider business to help all areas of the business improve.

Educational and experience requirements for a junior Operations role

We’ve several junior operations roles available that are suitable for talented school leavers with A-level qualifications, as well as a few apprenticeship positions within underwriting operations. However, there are some educational and experience requirements that you
should know about.

  • Strong academic performance, either at school or graduate level (or equivalent).
  • Excellent IT knowledge and skills.
  • Most roles require some experience within the insurance sector

Although most of our employees are graduates, we’re open to hearing from anyone who is passionate about the insurance industry. Who is prepared to work hard with the knowledge that they currently have, to help the company succeed.

Our Operations Team is made up of a range of experience and ability, meaning everyone brings something different to the team, which is what leads to our success.
