Brit Global Specialty USA further expands Marine offering with new hires

Brit Ltd (“Brit”) announces that it has appointed Marc Robinson and Yasuaki (Yasu) Saegusa to the Marine business of Brit Global Specialty USA (“BGSU”) with effect from 05 February 2018.

Marc joins BGSU as Assistant Vice President and will be based in our Hartford, Connecticut office. Marc will be responsible for the underwriting of BGSU’s growing Yacht portfolio. He joins BGSU from Falvey Yacht Insurance where he was the lead underwriter on all new and renewal business for yachts up to $20m. Marc will report to Craig McGinnes, Vice President, Yacht at BGSU.

Yasu joins BGSU as Vice President – Cargo and will be based in our Newport Beach, California office. He will be focused on developing BGSU’s Cargo book on the West Coast. Yasu joins BGSU from AIG where he was the Manager of their Marine offering in Western North America and the Lead Cargo Underwriter. Yasu will report to William Frohne, Vice President, Cargo at BGSU.

These appointments follow the launch of BGSU’s Marine business in 2016 headed by Tom Carroll, Senior Vice President, Marine at BGSU and are part of Brit's strategy to expand its regional footprint in the Americas with a focus on specialty products that deliver sustainable and profitable growth.
