We underwrite on a worldwide basis and are a recognised quoting market. We are a lead market on approximately half of our business, with capacity varying according to class and source of risk. Retrocessional risks are also actively considered.
In North America our target customers are single state or regional writers but we consider all types of entities. The account is focused on WCA, General Liability, Medical Malpractice, Auto and Contingency/Clash writings, both in the USA and Canada. Accident classes such as Title and Surety are also written.
For international clients we protect both local and international companies, focusing on Professional Indemnity, Financial Institutions, Directors’ and Officers’ Liability, General Liability (including Employers’ Liability and WCA), and Motor (non-working). Accident classes such as Bond and Credit are also written.
Our London Market account is focused on Professional Indemnity, Financial Institutions, Directors’ and Officers’ Liability, General Liability (including Employers’ Liability and WCA), and Motor (non-working).
We consider both risk-exposed and clash (including ‘systemic’) covers. There is also a significant Accident component comprising Contingency, Kidnap and Ransom, Contaminated Products, Property, Terrorism and Political Risks, Bloodstock and Livestock, and Credit and Bond.
We also write Personal Accident. This comprises both risk-exposed and catastrophe excess of loss covers. In the case of catastrophe excess of loss, we will also consider life insurance and reinsurance companies. We also reinsure Travel portfolios and other Accident and Health lines. Our book is currently segmented as follows: North America 45%, International 15%, London Market 29% and PA (Worldwide) 11%.
Our maximum capacity for Casualty and Accident (excluding PA and WCA Cat) is US $/€15m or £10m. For PA and WCA Cat we can offer up to US $/€20m or £15m.
