Internet Scams

You may receive emails that claim Brit Insurance is holding your lottery winnings or similar. The people responsible for these ‘advance fee fraud’ emails send the same message to as many email addresses as they can find. Their aim is not to give you money, their aim is to take your money.

Don’t reply: We never hold any winnings in trust.

You may also see websites claiming that Brit Insurance uses a product or service, or sponsors an event or team. In many cases it is true, but not always.

If you are ever in any doubt about whether an assertion is genuine, please forward the email, or website URL to us at enquiries@britinsurance.com. We are not normally able to reply individually, but we do read all emails, and make sure that websites with fake affiliations are closed down as quickly as possible.
